I’m Martín Carrasco, Executive Chef. I’m from Barcelona, Spain. I graduated from CETT, cooking and hotel management school, in Barcelona
My first experience was in the kitchens of 1 Michelin star restaurant “Neichel”, in Barcelona.
I was recruited by famous chef Carles Tejedor to be part of “Via Veneto”, which still holds the oldest Michelin star in Barcelona.
It was thanks to “Alkimia”, with 1 Michelin star, and my mentor there, Chef Jordi Vilà, that I developed my hard working attitude, deep knowledge of the product and my ability to apply traditional and modern techniques.
After that, I was involved with 5 star hotel “Ohla” in Barcelona, in the gastro bar and the gastronomic restaurant, under the supervision of Chef Xavier Franco.
During my time in Ohla Hotel, I graduated as pastry chef from ESPAI SUCRE pastry school in Barcelona.
Hong Kong means a great opportunity for me to become an ambassador of my culture and gastronomy. I also believe it will be a great experience to learn from the best Asian cuisines and chefs.
